Vegan Stuff in a Supermarket in Portugal

Vegan in Portugal? That’s pretty easy, as we already showed you in our Vegan Guides for Lisbon and the Algarve. But not only restaurants and cafes, also supermarkets offer many plant-based options. For example, there’s a wide selection of non-dairy milk in almost every Portuguese supermarket. Here, the cheapest liter of soy milk often costs only 60 to 80 cents. Vegan cheese, sausages, cookies, ice cream and protein powder are also available in some stores.

We already wrote individual articles for all major supermarket chains in Portugal, which you will find below:

Aldi | ApolóniaCeleiro | Continente | E.Leclerc | Intermarché | JumboLidl | Minipreço | Pingo Doce | Spar

Did you spot any other vegan product in a Portuguese supermarket? How satisfied are you with the selection? What kind of products are you still missing? Let us know in the comments. 🙂

  1. Staying a week in Fuseta.

As far as I can tell, the only grocer there is Algartalhos. Any idea as to vegan products sold there?

Otherwise, its a train ride to Faro grocery stores for food I guess.
